This project will educate 500 youth in Ghana on the risks, signs, and prevention of human trafficking. Many young people are unaware of how traffickers operate and are vulnerable to deception, exploitation, and unsafe migration. Through community outreach, school programs, and awareness campaigns, this project will empower youth with knowledge to protect themselves and others.
Human trafficking remains a serious issue in Ghana, particularly affecting vulnerable youth in rural and low-income communities. Many young people are targeted with false promises of jobs, education, or better opportunities. Due to limited awareness, they are unable to recognize the warning signs and are at risk of exploitation, forced labor, and abuse.
This project will deliver structured awareness sessions for 500 youth through schools and community programs. Participants will learn about the tactics used by traffickers, how to identify risks, and how to seek help. The project will also distribute educational materials and engage community leaders to reinforce prevention efforts.
The project will increase awareness and reduce vulnerability among youth, helping to prevent trafficking before it occurs. Educated young people will be better equipped to make safe decisions and share knowledge within their communities. Over time, this will contribute to stronger community protection systems and a reduction in trafficking risks.
