This project will provide a quality education to 40 children living in rural Uganda. Your donation will go towards required school fees, learning materials and uniforms to youth who would not be able to attend otherwise. Helping a child reach their full potential with a solid foundation of learning allows them to become confident community leaders with the ability to solve their own regional problems.
Education is a human right, yet 54% of primary school aged children in Sub-Saharan Africa cannot afford to attend school, like in the village of Kassanda, Uganda. The absence of education is the root cause of poverty. Without it diseases like HIV/AIDS spread, while teen pregnancies and malnutrition continues. Attending an accessible school within walking distance is critical as no transportation exists.
KCA's purpose is to provide orphaned and vulnerable children who are referred to our organization with food, clothing, medical care, education and housing needs. Many are single or double orphaned and raised by grandmothers who have no source of income. With your support we will be able to pay for their education at nearby established private schools. The gift of knowledge is a well proven way to change lives.
Giving youth their basic education sets the foundation needed to continue on to University. Education reduces poverty, boosts economic growth and increases income. It increases their chance of having a healthy life, reduces maternal deaths, and combats disease. Education can also promote gender equality, reduce child marriage, promote peace, and learn critical thinking to become successful community leaders. Launch a mind today to restore hope!
