Many families lack awareness about the risks and consequences of drug abuse, putting youth and vulnerable community members at higher risk. This project will educate 200 families on drug prevention, early warning signs, and how to access support services.
Substance abuse is a growing issue in many communities, with youth often starting drug use due to lack of awareness, peer pressure, or family neglect. Families without proper knowledge cannot prevent or respond effectively, leading to health problems, academic failure, and social disruption.
The project will conduct workshops, family education sessions, and community outreach for 200 families. Participants will learn about the dangers of drugs, ways to recognize early warning signs, prevention strategies, and how to access counseling or rehabilitation services. Follow-up activities will reinforce learning and encourage family discussions about healthy choices.
Educating 200 families will increase awareness, reduce the number of youth engaging in drug use, and strengthen community capacity to prevent substance abuse. Over time, healthier and better-informed families will contribute to safer, more resilient communities.
