An Award-Winning Student
Tassamon first came to Dhammajarinee Witthaya School seven years ago. Having begun her education at another school that provided her with little opportunity, she was advised to attend Dhammajarinee to receive an education that would prepare her to become a doctor.
Tassamon has progressed well at the school and this year entered a unique competition to test competency in several areas of medical science such as Dentistry, Medical Research, Pharmaceuticals etc. To prepare for the exam, the competitors needed to familiarize themselves with a broad range of medical skills.
We congratulate Tassamon for winning the national first-place academic award in the competition.
Her goal upon graduating from Dhammajarinee School is to attend university in the faculty of medicine. After she graduates from university, she hopes to be a doctor in a hospital.
STEM Development Continues to Progress
Dr. Stuart Kohlhagen, the international STEM expert who visited Dhammajarinee for two weeks in June, continues to train teachers and students using STEM projects. His continued mentorship is measurably increasing our students' knowledge, skills, and confidence.
One activity the students in grades 10-12 engaged in, involved several STEM skills with many potential applications. It is wonderful to see our students create and feel empowered to solve problems. (photos below)
