This project will assist 100 female headed households to escape from extreme poverty, restore dignity and boost self-respect and self-confidence of the women, it also will teach the women how to be better mothers to their children. The women will be assisted and receive intensive follow-up for one year.
During the armed conflict from 2020-2022, many men lost their lives, leaving behind wives and children. Many of the wives have been subjected to rape by armed forces, leaving them scarred, feeling ashamed, withdrawn from community live.
Abraham's Oasis will provide small business skills training, parenting skills training, cash to start the business and intensive follow-up. We link them to micro-finance and encourage them to start saving.
The project will assist 10 women allowing them to rise out of poverty, they will provide for their family's health and well-being and the women themselves will keep their dignity and self-worth. The community as a whole will benefit by having some business activities in their area.
