It has been very cold here in Ishinomaki.
At the end of the year, we enjoyed the event with local seaweed fishermen that we learned about seaweed and a various kind of ways of eating.
It was the third time of the event and local people and we all enjoy it every time.
We had a rice cake pounding event at the beginning of the year. We prepared a Lion dance which is one of the local traditional cultures and we fed him our rice cakes.
Regardless of age, we all enjoyed the event.
We invited an instructor from the local popular cafe “HAMAGURI DOU” and we made ICHIGO DAIFUKU which is a soft rice cake stuffed with sweet bean paste and a strawberry. We enjoyed it with a cup of tea after. It was very vey yummy!!
