Send family to conference for rare disorder!

We are just a few days away from the beginning of our next family conference. Four hundred family members from around the world - as far away as Switzerland and Australia - will be joining us to hear the latest news in dup15q syndrome research and treatment. Your support is what makes conferences like these possible. Thank you!

This year we also have opportunities for those with dup15q syndrome to participate in research studies from UCLA, Geisinger, FaceBase and Coriell Genetic Cell Repository. Bringing the researchers to the families saves the inconvenience and expense of travel.

Our science meeting is also happening adjecent to the family meeting. This gives families the chance to meet those that have dedicated their careers to advancing the science and treatment of chromosome 15q duplications. We are so greatful for the work that they do everyday!

Urijah is excited to be attending Dup15q Alliance's family conference in Orlando this summer! Thanks for helping him get there!

Family conferences are vital for spreading awareness and providing support to families dealing with chromosome15q11.2-13.1 duplication syndrome, a rare genetic disorder with symptoms including autism, seizures, and developmental delays. Our 2015 conference, titled Stronger Together, will be held in Orlando, Florida in July.

As knowledge of chromosome15q duplications increases, this conference gives parents and caregivers a chance to interact with the clinicians and reserachers on the forefront of dup15q science. There is still so much to be learned and this connection between families and scientists is vital to increasing our knowledge.

At this year's conference, we are bringing a variety of research opportunities to our families. Individuals with dup15q syndrome can participate in an autism study from UCLA, have 3D photos taken for a genetic database, visit with a genetic counselor, have blood drawn for a cell repository and much, much more.

Your donation helps families, like Urijah's, affected by dup15q syndrome to attend a conference. Our hope is that all of our member families will be able to attend at least one conference and we help to make this possibly by offering scholarships.
