Resilience is the way forward

By PM | Director

Dear friends and donors,

With 1 in 7 individuals neurodiverse and 1 in 36 children diagnosed with autism, your generosity drives awareness and progress.

Focusing on strengths rather than differences can create a society where diversity fosters compassion, creativity, and productivity.

Yet, in the face of a dire and challenging economic climate and political uncertainty, our resilience and your support are the keys to sustaining our work.

That is why I am thrilled to report from the field. I want to let you know that our work continues to impact an ever-increasing number of families and is changing how educational institutions address neurodiversity.

I am thrilled to share that this school year, we are successfully tackling the educational and developmental challenges of our children and adolescents with autism by providing the following:

  • Classroom-based psychoeducational programs in three different formats - a morning weekly full-time program, an afternoon program four days a week, and a morning 3 and 2 days per week - to address the needs of our families
  • We offer a "virtual" diagnostic service in addition to our in-person service for those unable to travel.
  • Continue offering therapy services.

In addition, our training team continues training and empowering educators and counselors to adopt a different approach and mindset to include neurodiverse persons within their classrooms and organizations. We are working through our "Acercamiento a la Neurodiversidad" programs and products with a university, several mainstream and online schools, and two youth camps.

We are well-positioned and committed to meeting this school year's goals of directly serving 650 families, training at least 100 educators in five schools, and creating neurodiversity awareness within many other educational institutions.

The population positively impacted will amount to hundreds of kids and young adults within these educational communities.

Thank you for your trust and unwavering support. Your financial backing, especially in these challenging times, is the bedrock of our work. Your continued support gives us the strength to face these challenges head-on, and we are determined to make a difference.

Your support is crucial, and your contribution, as always, continues to make a lasting impact. We are deeply grateful.
