Project Status Update: The "San Francisco Javier school
: Manos Unidas por el Agua" initiative is currently in its final stretch. With only one month remaining before project closure, we have achieved major milestones in infrastructure and community empowerment, expanding our reach to serve a growing population in need.
1. Enhanced Infrastructure Interventions
We are proud to report that the technical phase at the San Francisco Javier School building has been successfully executed. The school’s four-story building now features fully rehabilitated water networks, designed to handle continuous demand safely and efficiently.
2. Expanded Impact & Beneficiaries
As the implementation expanded, our direct reach grew beyond initial estimates from early 2026. The infrastructure now provides vital support to an entire community facing severe public service constraints in Venezuela.

Total Active Beneficiaries
Community Breakdown:
• Students (Elementary to High School)
• Teaching and Administrative Staff
• Parishioners of the San Francisco Javier Parish
3. Sustainable Impact: Social & Educational Component
In Venezuela, critical shortages often lead individuals to overlook the quality of the water they consume, frequently ignoring the severe health risks associated with contaminated water. To ensure a lasting impact, our approach goes beyond engineering to focus heavily on education and community ownership:
4. Final Closure & Upcoming Milestones
As we approach the final weeks of this intervention, our focus shifts toward sustainability, knowledge transfer, and celebrating community achievements.
Project Conclusion Fair: The project will officially conclude on July 20, 2026, with a dedicated Water Project Fair. During this closing event, students will publicly exhibit their own research and water projects, demonstrating the knowledge acquired and their commitment to becoming long-term water guardians in Caracas.
Thank you to the GlobalGiving community and our local partners for making this sustainable transformation possible.
