Drinking Water for The Drought Hit People
Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) expresses its gratitude for the generous support of donors towards the project "Drinking Water for Humans and Animals of Thar," in collaboration with GlobalGiving, USA. Thanks to your contributions, significant progress has been made in establishing safe drinking water wells in the remote and underserved areas of Tharparkar in Pakistan. More than 300 water wells have already been established in the drought-hit areas.
Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) extends special appreciation to donors who have consistently contributed to this initiative. Which is benefitting hundreds of humans as well as animals of Thar on daily basis. Tharparkar is a vast desert region spanning thousands of square kilometers, where many villages lack access to clean water sources. CHCS is dedicated to the ongoing effort of establishing more water wells to benefit both the people and animals of Tharparkar.
These wells have not only provided a vital resource for drinking water but have also positively impacted the socioeconomic landscape of Tharparkar. The project has become a catalyst for economic opportunity, as locals are engaged in well-digging activities, providing them with a source of income.
Access to safe drinking water has significantly improved the health of the Tharparkar community, reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases. We appeal to donors worldwide to continue their generous contributions, enabling us to establish more water wells and ensure the supply of safe water to the inhabitants and livestock of Tharparkar.
