Tharparkar is one of the regions where water scarcity creates serious daily challenges for local communities. Many families have to travel long distances to find water for their households, while their livestock also depend on the same limited sources. Through the Thar Water Well Project, Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is constructing water wells in areas where communities face severe shortages of safe and reliable water.
These water wells provide families with a more accessible source of water for their daily needs and help reduce the hardship of travelling miles in search of water. The availability of water also supports livestock, which are an important part of the livelihoods of many families in the region.
Through this initiative, CHCS is working to improve living conditions, support vulnerable communities, and bring lasting relief to people and livestock affected by water scarcity in Tharparkar.
With sincere gratitude,
Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah
