We’ve been busy the last few months!
Here's a snapshot of what's happening at Dove
DoveLewis Welcomes New Veterinarians! We’re excited to welcome Dr. McKinney and Dr. Thompson to DoveLewis! Dr. McKinney graduated from University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and comes from the San Francisco Bay area, where she previously worked at an emergency and specialty hospital. Dr. Thompson earned her degree at University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and made the trek to DoveLewis after working at a referral and emergency clinic in Madison.
DoveLewis Blood Bank Needs New Canine Donors Despite having approximately 80 volunteer canine blood donors currently supporting the program, DoveLewis estimates it needs at least another 20 dogs to join the hospital’s blood bank in order to meet the local and national demand for blood. Learn more at dovelewis.org.
Donor Spotlight DoveLewis was honored to receive a $16,000 donation from Rose City Classics after being selected as the beneficiary of their annual Planters’ Day event in Vancouver, Washington. We’re so grateful for their support!
Purchase a 2015 DoveLewis Calendar Are you looking for a unique and meaningful holiday gift? And here are some recent testimonials from grateful hospital clients:
“As a doctor for people, all I could think during my time at DoveLewis was, ‘Wow! If only we could make our patients feel the way I feel right now—totally and completely attended to in all respects, from the moment I entered the building to the moment I left.’ Thank you.”
–Christina
“My dog recently got out of the house and was hit by a car. A very kind stranger brought her to DoveLewis and they were amazing. Everyone on staff was very understanding and helpful. It was an extremely stressful and scary situation but I felt my dog was in the best care possible the entire time.”
