Project Report | Apr 2, 2014
March 2014

By Marin Aultom | Marketing & Communications Manager

We’ve been busy the last few months!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • DoveLewis received an award for 25 years of accreditation through the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). As an AAHA-accredited practice, DoveLewis adheres to the highest-quality veterinary standards, which helps ensure the best care for your pet.
  • Long-time DoveLewis employee Megan Brashear, CVT, VTS (ECC), was awarded Petplan Pet Insurance’s 2014 Veterinary Technician of the Year Award.
  • Teams from Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams (PACTT), our collaborative animal-assisted therapy program with Guide Dogs for the Blind, visited several facilities, including a local library to provide gentle, non-judgmental ears (Basma’s) for young readers like Francis, pictured.
  • DoveLewis was named the #1 Emergency Veterinary Hospital by regional publication Spot Magazine in their 2014 Top Dog Awards. Awards were given by community vote.

And here are some recent testimonials from grateful hospital clients:

“Happy 1st birthday to Rufio and Griffey! Thank you, DoveLewis, for saving their lives when the brothers were Parvo puppies together; we are so lucky to have happy and healthy dogs!”

-         Reese M.

“Auggie is home from the hospital and on the road to recovery. He has a fractured jaw that’s wired, but it’s not affecting his appetite. His left shoulder is bound to his body to heal, and the right hip has three incisions from the surgery, but he is starting to show his true Corgi spirit again. He is eating like a true Corgi.”

-         Tracy M.
