Workshop by Jane Talany
In recent months, a number of our students Gaby Wardenaar, Joshua Arends, Gideon Haberland, Chanine Moestro worked hard to organize a music event. The goal was that they learned how to organize a music event and promote our foundation and our goals. Thanks to your donations, they were able to give a free singing workshop by Jane Talany. There were 16 new participants and they loved it. After the workshop, there was a nice walk with free snacks and drinks, and then there was a karaoke hour. Many new talents competed with it, then there was an open mic and there were two guys along who have also participated in Idols this year. It was beautiful to see how beginners and advanced alternating the microphone! The evening was a success and afterwards we conducted interviews to find out what visitors thought of the evening. They gave us a very high average figure, with a 9 or 10! Please watch the link below to have a look at this event!
The musical evening was a success, but unfortunately the studio recording sessions went less well. The studio recordings for the charity album has a little dip, we had a couple of good technical issues. The used Mac Pro can not run all of the software and plugins. We now need to save for a new generation Mac Pro tower in order to operate smoothly. The project therefore has been delayed by a month on average. We are not happy about it, but we will never give up! The enthusiasm of all the participants makes us sharper and we also work harder to make up for lost time!

Recording session with Danny for the charity album
We received a lot of love since the opening of our music studio from different people around us. Family, friends, network partners and students were very excited and felt that it has become beautiful. This makes us feel very good, because we have worked hard.
We did not do it alone, we have received help from volunteers who we want to thank. Our electrician and handyman Harold Kemper and Frank Verleg. Thank you for your services!
We are now working with the first artist Danny Schutten for the charity album we want to release in January 2017. Danny won the Kempenaar Talent Show last year and as the price he receives in addition a special extended recording in the studio a photo shoot. Danny has written a song about relationships and brings a positive flow forward. The song is a song that makes you happy and is really a summer song. Some of our students will do audition for a special gig, the liberation day on May 5, 2016. We are celebrating that day that the Netherlands is liberated by the Allies! A day to remember and the perfect day to showcase your musical talents to thousands of people.
We are busy developing new projects and we are looking for donors and volunteers. Your financial support will ensure that we can help and quality offer even more disadvantaged young people! Thanks!

By Marx Margono | Project Leader Studio MIC album

It's crowded in the control room :)
The doors of our professional studios have been opened and we recently held an initial meeting with a group of youngsters. It questions could be asked and they got a brief introduction to the project. Then they were given a practical assignment to create a piece of music in 20 minutes including text. Then they were allowed to take their own song and of course listen to the recording. In the coming months we will recruit talents and approach known Dutch to participate in this project. We hope eventually to have 12 songs on the charity album Studio MIC, with positive numbers! We hope we can get more finance in order to ensure quality. We already have our money stabbing in the studio, because we wanted it to be optimal. We are all very pleased that we have volunteers who do so much for our young people, it would be great if we could offer more master classes, so our young people can develop better. We thank you for your support!
