Disadvantaged youth supports street children!

In the past months we were working on a special project called This is my talent. The goal of the project is: The ability to create (low probability) young people in a safe, easily accessible and make professionally acquainted with art and culture at multidisciplinary level. We can say that this objective has been achieved again with flying colors. With more than 35 entries, 30 actual intake interviews and finally 26 participants, six volunteers and 180 visitors we are proud of the result. The youth have the opportunity to experience art and culture at multidisciplinary level. About 80% had little or no experience!

Besides that the main objective is achieved also achieved the following objectives with this project.

• Different styles of music and street culture have come together young people from different schools and backgrounds. There were young people who came from special education. Despite these differences they have each other and get to know us and made a nice product
• Young people have social skills, arriving on time (discipline), do homework on time, and learned to defend themselves!
• They have learned that you can respect each other despite differences and because there are friendships between young people who do not normally interact.
• Young people have discovered their talents and learned how it can best develop and use (talent development and final performance)
• Some young people move on to a regular job, including Almere Music Project, where she singing lessons and music lessons and this time also to education!
• No less as Jörgen Raymann was willing to give a free master class for our youth

We have made a video of the whole show, you can watch it on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIQ8SPxAQZo

This is just one of our programs that is still in baby shoes, the next edition will be next year, but we want to make it bigger so that we can help more youth in the Netherlands but also in Indonesia. We need your help! Every euro/dollar/yen or pound will help us get stronger and bigger. The stronger we get, the more childeren we can help! We need your help! Thank you!

In the past 3 months, 25 young people have worked on a theater show. They have singing lessons, received acting lessons and coaching. Apart from the lessons they had personal talks about the progress of the project. We looked at their skills and gave their personal reflections so they could work focused on their shortcomings. It was not easy, because many young people have problems at home and school, thus they arrived too late or they could not come. The youngsters have been given a workshop of a famous actor Jorgen Raymann. Jorgen has inspired them enormously and eventually the young people have planned an extra rehearsal. Here we are very proud of, because that's very special. Tonight is the day, the first show. For almost all young people this is their first appearance. We will soon put this video online, we find ourselves very exciting! We own more nerves than the young people themselves :) We thank you for your support! You can we help young people and ensure the quality!
