Our organization’s employment program has promoted skill training, job placement support and offered valuable information to encourage workforce inclusion for people with disabilities. During this current year, eighty-two participants have enrolled in our program.
Thirty-nine percent of these candidates have already had the opportunity of obtaining workshops on valuable employment skills, have developed their resume, rehearsed for the interview process and have had the opportunity to perform these skills through a supervised internship to evaluate concepts learned and improve job readiness and retention. Important changes in their confidence, self-esteem and motivation has been observed in many of our candidates who have begun this journey towards employment. It is important to point out that forty-one percent of these candidates have already entered the workforce, resulting in improved living conditions and economic independence.
We want to share a clear example of the benefits this program, which you are suppporting can offer; one of our participants entered as a withdrawn person who had doubted her abilities due to the prejudice she confronted because of her disability. She showed determination in learning all independent living and employment skills, showing her will to grow as an individual and resiliency when obstacles crossed her path. Nowadays she is teaching independent living skills to others and serving as a peer counselor, inspiring others every day.
Part of this group is still receiving training and will continue the process once workshop cycles are concluded. We still need your support to continue this important mission and expand our services. Help us further advance employment preparedness, technological accessibility and the inclusion of people with disabilities in our communities. Join our celebration of the Global Accessibility Awareness Day to be held on May 21, 2026, to promote digital inclusion for people with disabilities. Your donation will also contribute to educate on accessible technology to encourage its use among people with disabilities and promote further development of inclusive technology. Be part of this movement by testing your digital products and making sure they are accessible for all.
We thank you for your support!
