Fourth Report - Maisha Foundation: Ensure Safe Pregnancy and Childbirth in Kenya

First of all, we would like to thank you, on behalf of the Maisha Foundation, our women and babies for your contribution to our campaign to ensure dignity during pregnancy and childbirth in Kenya.
Thanks to your contribution, we have been able to support 34 mothers, their unborn children, and their newborns through February 2026. Your donation has been used to cover prenatal check-ups, ultrasounds, medications, births and emergencies, among other expenses.
How was your donation used until February 2026?
- The total mothers benefited are 34 and their newborns or unborn children.
- We have welcomed 16 babies through natural delivery and 9 baby delivered by c-section.
- We have carried out 71 ultrasounds to find out the health of the baby and the weeks of gestation of the new mothers that enter in the Maisha Center.
- We covered 8 long-term hospitalizations. All babies and mothers are in perfect condition.
- Our mothers or babies attended 148 regular neo natal check ups, consultations and examinations to treat some health problem. Example: urinary infection, colds, etc
- 13 pregnant women were covered by local health insurance (SHA) for one year.
- Due to strikes by public health personnel, 5 births were attended to in a private hospital.
All this effort has meant an expense of 8840 dollars. Thank you very much for being part of this work! We will continue to strive to bring dignity to Kenyan women and their children.

first of all, we would like to thank you, on behalf of the Maisha Foundation, our women and babies for your contribution to our campaign to ensure dignity during pregnancy and childbirth in Kenya.
Thanks to your contribution we have been able to care for 27 mothers, their unborn children and their children already born until June 2025. Your donation has been used to cover prenatal check-ups, ultrasounds, medications, births and emergencies, among other expenses.
How was your donation used so far in 2025?
- The total mothers benefited are 27 and their newborns or unborn children.
- So far in 2025 we have welcomed 13 babies through natural delivery and 4 baby delivered by c-section.
- We have carried out 41 ultrasounds to find out the health of the baby and the weeks of gestation of the new mothers that enter in the Maisha Center.
- We covered 6 long-term hospitalizations. All babies and mothers are in perfect condition.
- Our mothers or babies attended 80 regular neo natal check ups, consultations and examinations to treat some health problem. Example: urinary infection, colds, etc
- Eleven pregnant women were covered by local health insurance (SHA) for one year.
- Due to strikes by public health personnel, 3 births were attended to in a private hospital.
All this effort has meant an expense of 4995 dollars in10 months. Thank you very much for being part of this work! We will continue to strive to bring dignity to Kenyan women and their children.

First of all, we would like to thank you, on behalf of the Maisha Foundation, our women and babies for your contribution to our campaign to ensure dignity during pregnancy and childbirth in Kenya.
Thanks to your contribution we have been able to care for 21 mothers, their unborn children and their children already born until June 2025. Your donation has been used to cover prenatal check-ups, ultrasounds, medications, births and emergencies, among other expenses.
How was your donation used so far in 2025?
- The total mothers benefited are 21 and their newborns or unborn children.
- So far in 2025 we have welcomed 6 babies through natural delivery and 1 baby delivered by c-section.
- We have carried out 23 ultrasounds to find out the health of the baby and the weeks of gestation of the new mothers that enter in the Maisha Center.
- We covered 4 long-term hospitalizations. All babies and mothers are in perfect condition.
- Our mothers or babies attended 10 consultations and examinations to treat some health problem. Example: urinary infection, colds, etc
- Five pregnant women were covered by local health insurance (SHA) for one year.
- Due to strikes by public health personnel, 3 births were attended to in a private hospital.
All this effort has meant an expense of 3000 dollars in 6 months. Thank you very much for being part of this work! We will continue to strive to bring dignity to Kenyan women and their children.
