There is lots of exciting news to share about Living Dreams and our Digital Natives program.
In addition to the 16 brand new desktops placed at Matsubano home for the children who have been doing their own Digital Native program with refurbished computers, we also went to Nagoya to meet two homes which Santa and Friends NPO has been working with locally for over 10 years.
We took Touchy the Human Camera and then gave the children a lecture on how to use Digital Cameras as well as PhoTohoku who took their portraits individually and as group shots. In many cases it was the first time the children of this generation had a tangible photo of themselves. At the PhoTohoku photo cafe, they children worked on making frames for their prints.
We are now entering the season of giving and are hoping that people will consider donating to Living Dreams.
Two of the homes we work with are interested in more computers and we need funding for this. The cost of traveling and training the children is something we rely on donations for.
We also have a Christmas wish program where we often receive donations which are sent directly to the homes to fund their parties.
