Destiny Hope Rescue Center update
By David Lewis | President, Nodark Inc.
Hello supporters! -
Nodark Inc. is desiring to push forward with its architectural and development plans for the Destiny Hope Rescue Center in Western Kenya, aiming to transition the children from their current, high-cost rental into a permanent, custom-built facility. While the 3D building models and structural goals are in development, the project has hit a temporary bottleneck due to an unforeseen administrative hurdle. Specifically, final land registration cannot be completed because outstanding legal fees must first be brought up to date. Resolving this compliance and titling issue is the critical missing link required to legally secure the property, clear the final bureaucratic hurdle, and officially break ground on a safe haven designed for long-term youth empowerment and self-sufficiency.
Your suppport in helping to clear these legal financial hurdles is critical to ensuring development plans move forward. Thank you for your continued support as we push ahead!

February 2026 update

Hello partners! – We are happy to share that we successfully moved our children to another location in the last year. Though we do not own it, it is in better shape than the previous one which had become run down. As a result, some of the children also had to move to schools that were closer and that was a great endeavour which we successfully managed to execute. The ultimate aim of course is to build our own shelter and vocational center. Our prospect of building, though slow, has made some significant progress in the past few months. The land has been the main issue which we are striving to resolve. Legal process’ can be complicated and had slowed the process. We have experienced some triumphs, and this has allowed us to return to focus more on the building of the structure. We hope to receive final confirmation on our legal standing within the first quarter of this year. This will take us to the first phase of constructing a wall round the compound. Despite experiencing challenges, our resolve and the Centers' is strengthened that much more to get this project completed! We expect to communicate more with those on the ground to coordinate appropriate order of buidling; the first phase will be constructing a wall around the compound for security before bringing in materials. Our aim is to have plans created for the wall by the next report. Please know that what you have given to date is appreciated and important to help kick the work off. I encourage that you understand the magnitude of partnering in this endeavor,,,,and how this will improve the lives of the children for generations to come. It is an investment in lives for the future and an impact beyond physical structures that is limitless. Thank You!

Destiny Hope Rescue Center update

Hello - The project is taking on a bit more urgency than before....The children and staff are being relocated to another rental facility due to issues with back payments due the landlord. We are meeting that need through fundraising efforts outside of this project but the wheels have been put in motion by the landlord to move. Not much other information is available yet on new location but this underscores the need for this project to continue to completion. Another temporary issue that has arisen is the requirement to fully settle on the lawyer fees for the land that will be used to build our wonderful home, amongst other buildings. So, as we continue to review and work on building requirements, drawings, and contractor engagements, the outstanding lawyer fees will be settled. Thank you for your continued interest and support in helping to give these children a safe new home and we are honored that you are partnering with us to accelerate the settling of fees so digging can commence in the near future!
