In recent months, we have been diligently working on the final stages of post-production for our film. This comprehensive process includes color correction, sound design, graphic art, titles, acknowledgments, and English subtitles. For the sound design, we recorded a traditional Puerto Rican trio song, featuring the beautiful voice of Loren Aldarrondo, and incorporated graphic designs by Quique Cabanillas and other Puerto Rican designers and artists. The editing, sound, and color correction were completed in México by Arturo Peña, Adriana Santiago, and Leo Fallas. All these professionals dedicated their efforts and solidarity to finishing the piece.
We are excited to announce that we plan to launch the film in October. Following the release, we will coordinate screenings at universities, schools, and community centers. These events aim to foster conversation and inspire audiences by showcasing how Puerto Rican communities embrace solidarity and self-management. Our goal is to portray the essence of Puerto Rican culture and community spirit in the context of disaster within a colonial system.
Through these screenings, we hope to generate meaningful dialogue and share stories of resilience and unity. We believe that our film will resonate with diverse audiences and highlight the strength of community efforts in Puerto Rico. By attending these events, viewers will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and triumphs faced by these communities.
Stay tuned for more details about our October launch and the subsequent events. Your support and participation will help us spread this important message far and wide. Together, we can celebrate and amplify the voices of Puerto Rican communities, showcasing their resilience and solidarity.
