As part of our ongoing commitment to basic food security in Northwestern Syria, BESME INSANI successfully executed a large-scale bread relief operation across rural settlements in Northern Aleppo. During this campaign, our teams delivered 12,000 kg of fresh bread to 2,400 vulnerable families, serving approximately 12,000 individuals residing in overcrowded camps and makeshift centers.
For households living under extreme poverty, a daily bundle of bread is often the only guaranteed meal of the day. This intervention directly targeted vulnerable communities where local bakery production is limited or completely inaccessible due to infrastructure damage and fuel shortages.
The project logistics involved close coordination with local bakeries to maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and quality standards during preparation and packaging. Dedicated logistics teams loaded insulated delivery vans at dawn, ensuring that families received fresh, high-quality bread before breakfast hours. Field supervisors monitored distributions on-site to ensure smooth, orderly delivery and to collect direct feedback from beneficiaries.
The reliable supply of fresh bread brings immediate relief and restores a sense of dignity to parents struggling to nourish their children. BESME INSANI remains dedicated to expanding its bakery partnerships and mobile bread distribution routes to ensure no displaced family is left facing hunger alone.
