Dear Supporters,

We are thrilled to share the latest progress from our "Planting Trees for Sierra Leone's Future" project. With your generous support, we have successfully trained 100 more women and girls in reforestation techniques. These inspiring women have already started growing saplings in their homes, preparing to plant trees that will enrich their communities for generations.

Sierra Leone, one of the most vulnerable countries to environmental disasters, greatly benefits from your contributions. By empowering women to take the lead in reforestation, we are building climate resilience that will protect families and communities from the impacts of climate change. The thousands of fruit trees they plant will provide sustainable food sources and create a buffer between human settlements and wildlife habitats, particularly benefiting the critically endangered western chimpanzee.

In addition to reforestation training, we have also provided basic sex education classes and resources to these 100 women, helping them plan their families and pursue their dreams. This holistic approach ensures that our efforts are not just about planting trees, but about nurturing healthy, empowered communities.

As these saplings grow, Women for Conservation will continue to support tree planting brigades, enabling the women to plant thousands of trees around their communities. We are immensely grateful for your support, which makes these life-changing programs possible. Together, we are not only fostering environmental stewardship but also empowering women to create a sustainable future for Sierra Leone.

Thank you for your continued generosity and belief in our mission. Your support is truly transforming lives and landscapes.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Emily Knudson
