Youth with Options is more than young people receiving information and guidance in comprehensive sexuality education, but the participants are part of a new generation training to be able to transmit that knowledge to other young people, with a gender and human rights approach.
How do they do that? Understanding the central concepts of comprehensive sexuality education, acquiring, and practicing teaching-learning techniques, and rigorously verifying the acquisition of knowledge by their participating peers.
Until October 2022, APLAFA, through the youth group, has provided talks, counseling, and capsules in the waiting room to at least 1,388 people; mainly on topics such as family planning, HIV / AIDS prevention, prevention of violence against women and healthy relationships.
