APLAFA provides comprehensive sexuality education to young people in Panama, through its Juventud con Opciones program. During the last five years, 15,452 youngs and adolescents have received sex education. Your donation provides transportation, food, work materials and even options for contraceptive methods to each of the young participants; and collaborates in the prevention of child sexual abuse, teenage pregnancy, gender violence and poverty, in our communities.
We work in communities with high rates of teenage pregnancy and unwanted pregnancy, HIV / AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in young people and adolescents. In addition, currently a large number of homes and communities suffer the effects of violence against girls and women, a situation that has worsened with the COVID 19 pandemic.

Your donation help more than 100 youths persons to got scientific information for take better decisions on them lives, and build a brilliant future for themselves and their communities.
Every time a young person completes a cycle of twelve sessions of sex education, they are ready to provide comprehensive sexuality education to others. Usually, these people have been inserted in other APLAFA programs, they work with human rights organizations, school programs or public institutions. The first Juventud con Opciones cohorts continue to serve their communities and are part of a professional generation sensitive to sexual and reproductive rights, and human rights in general.
