Educational Community Relief Center for 600 people

What a  beautiful summer time we had and ….  lots of work.

For Such a Time as This appreciates your support so that we can continue bringing help, peace and faith to the communities in Puerto Rico

During the summer months we have the help of volunteers from all over the United States, and we are grateful for each one of them.

We were able to deliver around 300 hot meals in our monthly outreach of our friends “Los de a Pie”.  This program is aimed at people who are homeless.  We bring them hot meals, but more than that we show them that they are important by having quality time and conversation with them.

One of our annual programs is “Senior Prom Closet”. Thanks to all the people who joined this program, we managed to dress around 40 beautiful young women.  They were provided with a beautiful dress, shoes, professional makeup and  hairstyle. They were all so happy and radiant for their special night.

In the month of May, two health clinics were offered in the town of Rincon. 150 people were impacted with medical evaluations and medications.

Through alliances with community leaders, we had the opportunity to deliver clothing, shoes, and household items to community leaders.They will be bringing these items to families in need in their community.

We deliver detergents to different organizations to clean their facilities and community kitchens.

In our annual “Back to School” program this year we had the opportunity to provide school supplies to the children of Puerto Rico and also to children in a extreme need in Nicaragua through our work in partnership with local churches.

As always, day by day we serve families and individuals with different needs as physical, emotional and spiritual.

Thank you so much for your continued support for For Such a Time as This Puerto Rico!

We’re grateful that in the midst of the difficult times we are living in Puerto Rico, we can continue to help the communities and families by providing food, much needed resources, and the love of God to our neighbors.

We can definitely use your prayer with the island’s electricity services, as we often experience failures in service. Recently there was a 4-day power outage that left hospitals, streetlights’, schools and homes without service. A situation that further complicates the delicate way in which many Puerto Ricans live.

But we are excited to share with you some of the ways we’ve been able to help!!

After 2 years, this May we will finally be able to support our graduating girls who lack resources with prom dresses through through our "Prom Closet" program. 

As a result of the earthquakes and the pandemic, all proms in PR had been cancelled for the previous two years so it is with great enthusiasm that we are able to run this fundraiser again. Our supporters stepped up to the plate and donated more than 60 dresses which we know will be a huge blessing to the girls this year!

Our "La Cocina Caliente" program is our community kitchen and allows for us to go out monthly to take care of families in different communities physically with food and supplies as well as spiritually. We were able to feed families the past months thanks to your support!

We will also be taking to the streets again to bring hot food, clothes and shoes to our homeless brothers and sisters through our program, “Los de a Pie.” 

We thank everyone who has supported us and helped us keep moving forward to make an impact in Puerto Rico! It’s your support, your prayers, and your kindness that enables us to keep doing what we do.
