Women still have to squat on their knees for hours to grind maize kernels to provide foods to their families.
The women in Omilling village have to squat on their knees for several hours to grind maize kernels to provide foods for their families. This is not an easy work for women who are already torn apart from responsibilities. It is women’s duty to feed their families, fetch water, wash children, and serve their husbands. They are subject into slavery throughout their marriage life by working almost a whole doing farming. They have no time to relax!
By providing a grinding mill to Omilling women will have, good health, time to relax, girls will be allowed to study, time to do home work and the community will get constant supply of food to eliminate hunger whic is a major problem.
With the help of our GlobalGiving donors Hope Ofiriha has raised $1,275. The grinding mill will be provided when $7,500 is secured. Hope Ofiriha is working hard to make sure the budget goal is achieve.
Once again we want to thank our donors for their ongoing support to our small scale projects in south Sudan in 2010. Without their contributions, we could have not been in the position to help destitute women, and children.Hope Ofiriha looks forward in working with you in years to come!
