This project opens the door to a Community center where 32 associations from central Croatia will organize and implement activities, exchange ideas, network with the aim of active participation and solving needs in the community, such as working with children and youth, women victims of violence, disabilities people, minorities, refugees and other marginalized groups.
There are 32 NGOs in Karlovac city that do not have space for activities in the field of social activism, human rights, volunteering, informal education, sustainable development, culture and sports. These NGOs bring together over 1500 citizens (of all ages) per year who participate in educations, workshops, lectures, public forums... Through this project, we ensure organizations and directly citizens to actively participate and through their activities raise the quality of life in our community
The Community Centre "Prostorija" provides free of charge space for the more than 300 activities per year of 32 NGOs and strengthening the capacity of NGOs and citizens to response to the needs of the community. The community centre "Prostorija" is a renovated and decorated space, fully equipped with the necessary equipment and accessories for holding activities. The space is accessible for people with disabilities.
The project will enable further active action of 32 NGOs in the field of human rights, active participation, volunteering, children and youth, sustainable development, culture and sports. The project will annually provide education for 1500 citizens of all ages. It will also enable the capacity building of 32 NGOs through education that we will organize within the community centre (topics - advocacy, dialogue with decision-makers, agile teams, agile project management, communication, etc.
