Turkey now hosts the world’s largest community of Syrians displaced by the ongoing conflict in their country. According to official data, there were 3.2 million Syrian refugees in Turkey by the end of 2015 and as of June 2017, this number is up to 2.85 million. 90% of these refugees are living outside the camps; in city centres, towns or villages.
One of them is F. A.
F. A. is telling us: "I work in olive business. First in the olive groves, and when that’s done at the press… In exchange for my work, the bosses give me oil instead of cash and I swap it for coal. This way we can stay warm, but we don’t have money to buy clothes. For two years, I hadn’t been able to buy even socks for my children. Today we went to the store for the first time. My son turned to me and asked, ‘Dad, is it Bayram tomorrow?’ We are all very happy. Especially the kids, they are happy as if they are living a festival. When the war is over, we will go back home to Idlib. But it’s already been four and half years here, I don’t know when we will be able to return."
In this project , we aimed that refuge populations have access to essential winter items such as boots, jackets to reduce their vulnerabilities during the harsh winter weather conditions in Turkey.
This winter will warmer more refugees this year with the support of generous donors to our campaign.
Thank you for helping us to reach out to people who are in need!
Your donation to the “COLD TEMPS. to WARM HANDS - REFUGEE WINTER AID ” Project will directly support the our winterization efforts. These funds will help ensure that the most vulnerable Syrian refugees have the clothes they need to prepare for and cope during the winter months.”
We are already thanking you for your help and we are making a full-fledged arrival to prepare a warmer winter for the refugees
Time is passing, but the conflict in Syria has been going on. Turkey now hosts the world’s largest community of Syrians displaced by the ongoing conflict in their country. According to United Nations estimates, Turkey’s Syrian refugee population was more than 3 million as of July 2017, and the large unregistered refugee population may mean the true figure is even larger.
As the prospects of their return to Syria remains, by and large, slim, there is still growing attention around their living condition in Turkey. In this project , we aimed that refuge populations have access to essential winter items such as boots, jackets to reduce their vulnerabilities during the harsh winter weather conditions in Turkey.
Your donation to the “COLD TEMPS. to WARM HANDS - REFUGEE WINTER AID ” Project will directly support the our winterization efforts. These funds will help ensure that the most vulnerable Syrian refugees have the clothes they need to prepare for and cope during the winter months.”
We are already thanking you for your help and we are making a full-fledged arrival to prepare a warmer winter for the refugees.
With the help of your support our project provided winterization assistance to refugees in Diyarbakr so that they could cover their seasonal needs such as blankets, mattresses and warm clothing items.
Our beneficiaries could choose freely when shopping from contracted shops and prioritize their purchases according to their needs.Dedicated sections assembled in contracted shops included winter goods such as blankets, mattresses, warm clothes and heating.
Nowadays, the temprutare is getting hot. Thanks to your donations our beneficiaries had a warmer winter.
Every donation helps ensure that we can continue helping refugee people when the wheather is cold.
Let's make them smile, again together
Refugees in Turkey migrate from one location to another. Some leave the camps with the hope of a better life, some try to go back to their ‘once called’ homes and some simply travel to see their relatives who are also trying to hold on to life in a different place. Yet, they are all still displaced.
We managed to help many refugees with your help and your donations so far. ew thank you each one of you for your sensitivity on this issue and also your generous donations.
Currently there are 1322 Ezidi refugees in this camp located in Diyarbakir and the number increases every day since some camps in the surrounding region are closed down.
Diyarbakr is incredibly cold now and refugees are extremely vulnerable to snow and freezing temperatures in the winter. Imagine how refugee children are being affected and also in need, these days.
For that reason,we humbly ask you to support our project to make it possible for us to meet their needs for warmer clothes and blankets. Your donations will help refugee children to feel happier and they will hold on to life.
Let's make them smile, together.

We managed to help many refugees with your help and your donations which were given to them via electronic cards to buy winter clothes. With your continuing support, Ezidi Refugees will continue on to have the freedom of buying the winter clothes on the size and the color they prefer.
Ezidis doing their shopping by themselves with dignity at the local stores did not only strengthen their confidence but also supported the local economy. Communicating with the locals is very important since it allowed to create pathways, build relationships and smoothen the adaptation process for the war affected refugees which we were able to provide aid.
Currently there are 1322 Ezidi refugees in this camp located in Diyarbakir and the number increases every day since some camps in the surrounding region are closed down. It is getting colder as the season changes and the sub-living conditions in camp site is not resistant to weather. Refugees are extremely vulnerable to rain, snow and freezing temperatures in the winter yet majority of them are unable to work and buy the clothing items they need.
There are many more Ezidi refugees who are in need and we humbly ask you to support our project to prepare them for winter.
