Ilyas, Marvan and 7-months-old Halil are just 3 of all the children who fled from their homes with their families due to the conflict in Syria and the surrounding region. Ilyas (9) and Marvan (7) arrived to Turkey with minimal supplies and clothing. Putting their childhood aside, they now have to take care of themselves as well as their brother. Currently, Turkey hosts the most amount of refugees in the world: 2.2 million Syrian and 2800 Yazidis. THIS FUND WILL PREPARE THE REFUGEES FOR WINTER.
The sub-living conditions at tents and weak housings, are not resistant to the weather. Over the winter it is very cold in Turkey, which leaves the refugees extremely vulnerable to rain and snow. The drop to freezing temperatures affects the children and the sick the most. They are in need of help. PULL REFUGEES FROM COLD TEMPERATURES WITH YOUR WARM HANDS.
This project will improve the lives of the crisis-affected refugees by improving physical environment for harsh winter conditions. Every 75$ of the funds raised will be given to a refugee via electronic cards to buy winter clothes and materials. REFUGEES WILL BE RESISTANT TO COLD WITH PROPER WINTER CLOTHING THEY NEED.
Helping refugees economically, builds a gateway for them to focus on other problems. Strengthens their confidence by allowing them the freedom to buy the winter clothes on the size and the color they prefer. Allows them to socialize while shopping at the local stores and support local economy which creates pathways to build relationships between refugees and host communities. Most importantly, it will get Ilyas, Marvan and Halil one step closer back to their childhood.
