Exams are on.

Dear Donors,

On 19th March 2016, our Kodappu coaching center celebrated the Annual Day. Games and plays were conducted. cultural programmes were performed by the children. The day was made more special by the participation of the alumini of the coaching class. It was great seeing our alumini.

Radha (name changed) studying in 7th standard, lost her mother a year back. Her parents had a misunderstanding and the father is not with the family. He works in another town and visits the sisters occassionally. Radha and her two sisters stay with their  maternal grandmother. Her grandmother is very old and could not go to work. The younger sister is studying in 11th standard. The eldest looks after the home and the family by working as a coolie. She earns $3 per day. With the small amount the sister earns, it is difficult for the children to run the family. Radha could not study well as she has no one to help her in her studies.

Radha says, "I was playing all the evenings and did not show much interest in studies earlier. Our coaching class teacher called me and advised to join the coaching class. My mother also forced me to join the class. In the beginning I felt distracted and was frequently cutting the coaching classes. But later on I gained interest and started coming to the class regularly. Now I am scoring 80% marks. I love Science."

During the quarter, we received $30 and this is used to pay the Salary(part) of a coaching class teacher.

We thank you dear donors for helping us coach these children. The children who would otherwise waste their intelligence, wandering in the streets and playing are now coached well and score good marks in their classes. This is possible only with your support. Kindly keep supporting the project and spread words about it to your friends and relatives who are like minded. They value your words.

Thank you once again.
