Coaching 100 school children in studies in India

Dear Donors,

Thank you for the continued support given by you to these poor children have coaching for their studies.

Abdul (name changed) was picking up rags all through the day for a wage of Rs.10/- and was happy with that. He was spotted by the New Life team and was admitted to the special school for child labourers run by New Life. After two years he was admitted to regular school and also in the coaching class run for children like Abdul who needs coaching which their family could not give. Now he is in 7th standard, confident of getting good scores and of a good future.

Children who are poor, deprived, who had been child labourers and now going to regular schools are being supported by the supplementary education (coaching) classes run by New Life. These children will otherwise find it difficult to study or do their homeworks as their parents (who are illiterates or less literates) after their long hours of hard work cant coach them. But for these evening classes, they will be wandering or playing in the streets.

We thank you dear donors, who have contributed in conducting these classes. We also request you to spread words to your friends and relatives, and help us continue this project and benefit more and more children.

Dear Donors,
To support the children going to school and who cant be guided by their parents in their studies, supplementary classes are being conducted in the slums of Kodappu and Kajapettai. It benefits the school goers from the 4th standard to 10th standard.
These children have attended the Joy of Giving Programme conducted by the Students of National Institute of Technology (NIT), a renowned Engineering college in Trichirappalli. During that time, the wishes of the coaching class children were collected and given to the NIT students. They in turn presented the children with their wishes and that function was celebrated in New Life office. The children were given emergency lights, toys, cricket bat and ball, volley ball, notebooks, story books, bags, shoes, watches etc. The children who attended the function were so happy that their long time dreams have come true.
The pongal day, a famous festival was celebrated in Kodappu, by our coaching class students. They organized a gala function where the children and their parents performed dances. Certificates were issued to the coaching class children who participated in the Play Mela conducted in the month of October 2013. The function was a grand success.
The children have written their annual exams now and are waiting for their results. We thank you, dear donors for supporting this cause and helping these poor, deprived children to continue their education. Kindly spread words about the cause you believe in and help us pay the salary of the teachers who do this great work.
