Mundapa Jelekhally, Shyamnagar, Satkhira consists of 18 Munda families; a climate refugee group of people depends on day labor word for their livelihood. Most of them take ledge others land for one crop cultivation and if they miss to cultivate in time they suffer for the rest of the year. This year, the monsoon comes very late at Bangladesh and for that the terminal farmer failed to cultivate their farm land in due time. Again, it is predicted that the winter in Bangladesh will come soon and that also shrinks the farm cultivation time. The ledge farmers or day labors of Mundapara are now worried about how they will feed their family for the whole year and how they will cover the other household expenses. The people of Mundapara are extreme vulnerable due to climate change for their livelihood and drinking water. They need support to make this community climate resilience and disaster ready.
