Most parts in Isingiro district in Uganda, its mountainous areas with scarcity of water especially in dry season. People Walk long distances to fetch water, contaminated water, polluted water People have suffered from water borne diseases; water related diseases. Diarrheal diseases are the leading cause of deaths of children under five years in Isingiro district in western Uganda. This project seeks to contribute towards clean safe water sources for communities.
Establishing clean water supply sources in mountainous areas with water scarcity is a gateway to clean water for 200000 peoples in communities in Isingiro district. Enhancing adequate clean water supply through construction of bore holes, spring water sources and solar pumped water in the mountainous areas with water scarcity hence reducing the distance to water sources.
This project will improve the sanitation, hygiene, health and welfare of 200000 people in Isingiro District. It will reduce the diarrheal related mortality rate in children under five years of age.
