Many villages in Sindh lack access to clean drinking water, forcing families to rely on contaminated sources. This project will install handpumps in underserved rural communities, providing safe, accessible water to hundreds of people. Clean water improves health, reduces waterborne diseases, and supports education and livelihoods. Each handpump will serve 10-15 families, creating lasting change in hygiene and well-being.
In rural Sindh, thousands face daily struggles due to the lack of clean drinking water. Women and children often walk miles to fetch water, which is frequently unsafe and contaminated, leading to disease outbreaks, poor hygiene, and high child mortality rates. The lack of nearby water also disrupts education and economic activity in these vulnerable communities.
We will install durable handpumps in water-scarce villages across Sindh. Each pump taps into underground water, providing clean, drinkable water directly to families. This low-maintenance, cost-effective solution immediately improves health and reduces the need for long-distance water collection. Local training will ensure communities can maintain the pumps themselves.
Access to clean water transforms lives. This project will reduce disease, improve school attendance (especially for girls), and strengthen community resilience. With better health and saved time, families can pursue education and income opportunities. Handpumps will empower generations with a sustainable water source, supporting long-term development and well-being.
