Dear Friend,
Because of your generosity on GlobalGiving, the Clean Plate Nutrition and Therapy Project continues to reach children with developmental disabilities who would otherwise have little or no access to therapy services. Many of the families we serve live in communities such as Mathare, Dandora, Kariobangi, and Huruma where specialized support is rare and often unaffordable. Your support helps us keep our doors open and ensures that children receive regular occupational and speech therapy while also addressing the nutritional needs that are essential for their growth and development.
During january to March 2026, our center continued to serve more than 50 children each week through structured therapy sessions and caregiver guidance. Families also received dried food parcels that help stabilize meals at home, especially during times when rising costs make it difficult to provide consistent nutrition. For many parents, this combination of therapy and food support relieves an immense burden and allows them to focus on helping their children reach important developmental milestones.
Your support is also strengthening families themselves. Caregivers participate in practical learning sessions where they gain simple strategies they can use at home to support their children’s communication, behaviour, and daily living skills. These small but powerful changes create progress that extends far beyond the therapy room. On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you for making this work possible and for standing with us in building a more supportive future for children with developmental disabilities.
Kind Regards,
Kenneth Apopa
