In 2025, the City of Goodness Charitable Foundation continued to provide life-saving support to women, children, and families affected by war, poverty, displacement, and severe illness across Ukraine. Every day, more than 300 people found safety, medical care, rehabilitation, legal support, and hope within our shelter and medical complex.
This year, 640 children received shelter, 252 mothers received comprehensive support through our Women’s Rights Protection Department, and 1,330 women received legal assistance. At the House of Butterflies — the only charitable children’s hospice in Ukraine — 72 seriously ill children received palliative and hospice care, while 212 evacuation missions were carried out to rescue children from frontline regions and transport them to safety and treatment.
One of the most important achievements of 2025 was the opening of a new respiratory care unit for children requiring oxygen support and mechanical ventilation. The new unit immediately welcomed 12 critically ill orphaned children evacuated from the Mykolaiv region and expanded our capacity to care for the most vulnerable children in Ukraine. In addition, our rehabilitation team conducted more than 6,430 rehabilitation sessions, helping children regain mobility, communication skills, confidence, and joy.
Beyond emergency and medical care, we continued building a true community of dignity and healing. Through programs like “Mama Sews,” women gained professional skills and financial independence, while children participated in education, sports, theater, dance, and animal-assisted therapy programs that helped restore emotional well-being after trauma.
None of this would be possible without the compassion and generosity of supporters around the world. Your support helps children take their first steps, receive life-saving surgeries, return to school, and experience safety, love, and childhood again. Together, we continue creating miracles for those who cannot wait.
