Airline Ambassadors International (AAI) provides volunteer escorts for children coming to the United States for medical care that their families cannot afford or is not available in their home countries. Over the years our flight attendant volunteers have escorted thousands of children. This program is a unique and rewarding way for airline personnel to volunteer to act as a guardian for a sick and/or frightened child. Most medical escorts are 1 - 3 days.
Many children in developing countries do not have access to and can not afford adequate medical services. Luckily, hospitals in the US are willing to donate care. AA previously supported this program with a mileage bank but STOPPED THIS YEAR. Now, we NEED YOUR HELP to continue this valuable program to escort these children to the US on the most important journey of their lives. The benefit to the child...and the escort is life-changing!
Arline Ambassadors has successfully escorted over 3000 children for life saving and life changing surgeries. Margaret Whitehead, Director capably coordinates the child's travel, recruits volunteer escorts and helps arrange travel. These flight attendants have been vetted by a police report, and want to give back by volunteering as an escort for these children on the most important journey of ther lives. Because AA stopped support, we need your help to buy tickets for both child and escort.
Supporting the Airline Ambassadors Medical Escort Program will enhance the lives of children throughout the world whose parents cannot afford the cost of high quality medical care. The long term impact is huge. See attached the story Wushang Yang, whose life was saved with this program. She has now graduated from college and is working with Eli Lilly to make a difference in the lives of others needing medicine. Your support to save a child is greatly needed, appreciated and life-changing.
