Bandar Baru is a village consisting of a large number of brothels and (nobody knows since when) has gained the dubious title as a "commercial sex zone". We have decided to rent some land and set up a Slow Loris rehabilitation center, and also an educational site and a mini library for the kids.
Most people have heard about Bandar Baru, a place that has a very negative reputation in the region. The children who live there see daily scenes of sex workers, pimps and people under the influence of alcohol in their own neighbourhood. It is feared that these conditions can have an impact on these children's psychological well-being. Exposure to such scenes in their own environment may lead them to imitate these actions and believe that they are acceptable and normal.
If we provide this pondok education shelter, more kids will have the opportunity to make a positive impact. With this opportunity, we remove the risk of child in prostitution zone from negative tobe positive impact in around their live in this village.
The project will educate arrond 30 children allowing them to rise out of their education, which will provide for their ability in basic english conversation and knowing nature and wildlife.
