More than 2500 under-privileged children from 100 government schools and orphanages participated in Chiguru,an annual inter-school fest organised by Youth for Seva, on Sunday, December 6, at Delhi Public School.
The fest saw participation of students in various activities such as arts and crafts, street play, dance, singing, mad ads, quiz, origami, working model, clay modelling,memory test, pick and speak and other events. The event saw also participation of volunteers from corporate such as DELL, CISCO, Wells Fargo, IBM and others.
Harisha, a Brillio employee and YFS volunteer who participated in the event said, “We were impressed by the skills displayed by the kids in various events. All the kids were equally talented. It shows that given the platform, the kids can achieve great success and carve a career in this chosen field in the future.”
Chiguru is an annual cultural fest organised to bring to fore the talents of under-privileged children who are deprived of opportunities or platform to unleash their creativity and skills. This year’s Chiguru happened to have a record 2,500 students participation.
