Hi, everybody!
As you remember, our project is about including kids with neurology development disorders into mainstream educational system with regular kids in regular classroom.
We just wanted to share some of our day-to-day activities!
Yesterday, children from different grades came to visit our resource classroom.
We gave them a tour of our room and introduced them to some of special kids. We tried to give everyone a clear understanding on why and how resource classroom supports our special students .
At the moment, the only one of them in the room was Sasha, since all the others were in regular classes. The visitors enjoyed talking to Sasha and enthusiastically explored the resource classroom; they also tried playing different joint games.
Then the students from 4th grade B came to the resource room and took part summarizing and wrapping up the day.
Do you know what wrapping up the day looks like in our inclusive school for everyone? We have a rule for special students – they have to give an account of their day and get either a green (satisfactory) or yellow (excellent) smiley face. And then suddenly it turned out that all the children want to participate in wrapping up the day!
Now all students who want to summarize and evaluate their day come to our resource room. It is always very fun to sum up.
Before the school had any autistic students nobody ever got grades in such a fun way.
We will keep ypu posted with our lates news.
LOVE
