The Asustem Robotics "Catch Them Young" project aims to address the practical STEM education needs of African child and youth, with the ultimate goal of fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving abilities. Through hands-on robotics, coding, engineering, design thinking, sciences, climate change training and mentorship programs. The project aims to equip children and youth in Africa with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the rapidly-evolving 21st century job market.
Many Ghanaian schools and communities lacks training, the resources and facilities to provide practical STEM education, which limits children and youth exposure to practical applications of their learning. Skills Gap in 21st Century Job Market: The modern job market requires technical and creative skills. The african continent lacks stem workforce and as a result we need to provide an intervention for the next generation of STEM leaders for Ghana and Africa as a whole.
By equipping our communities, stem centers and schools with STEM kits and providing training in programming, engineering, application development, coding and robotics, beneficiaries will have the opportunity to learn in a practical, hands-on way. By encouraging beneficiaries to design and build their own robotics, engineering and technology projects, they will develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills that are essential for success in the 21st century job market by 2035 in Africa
Our Beneficiaries will be better equipped to succeed in STEM-related fields, leading to higher educational attainment and career opportunities. By fostering creativity and problem-solving skills, the project could lead to increased innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa, driving economic growth and development. The project hopes to impact 10,000 beneficiaries by 2026 in Ghana.
