One of our THINK Rehabilitation Home graduates from Cycle 12 (2014), Evelyn Payway, has started a small vocational skills training project in her community and invited me to see what she is doing with adolescent girls in the Rock Hill Community. At present, she has 22 girls and young women enrolled. A lady gave her permission to use the porch of her building and has said by the dry season, she can put up a structure in the yard for the training sessions.
It is always a blessing to my heart, seeing the young women that graduated from THINK, doing well. I am sending out an appeal to our donors and partners to help Evelyn in her endeavor to help other young women and adolescent girls in her community. Graduation of her first group of trainees will be in January 2022.
16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women, girls and Children 2021 is being observed by the Government of Liberia and Civil Society organizations under the Them: “Enough Is Enough!” THINK has her beneficiaries doing community outreach in the 3 communities this year with 100 participants.
Our T-shirts are all orange and have the national them on the front; “Enough is Enough!” with the 16 Days of Activism logo. On the backs of the shirts however, we have four messages respectively printed.
Our program will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, Human Rights Day. Violence Against Women, Girls and Volnerable People Must Stop Now! During the program, our beneficiaries were challenged to speak out about violence against women and girls all year.
THINK is very grateful to out donors and partners that have continued to support our work over the years. You are a great part of making our Vision and Mission come trure. THANK YOU!!
