The Difference You Make: Updates from Kabul
By Lael Mohib | Founder and Board Member
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support and generosity for our work to support and uplift children with disabilities in Afghanistan. We have prepared this video report to take you inside (and outside to the playground) our ECI Care Home in Kabul, Afghanistan so you can directly see the difference your support makes!
The children and young people at ECI Care Home continue to thrive and live happily and heathily with nutritious food, trained caretakers, knowlegedable educators and caretakers, and well-maintained places to rest, learn and play!

Inside the Care Home
By Sari Bernardo | Executive Director
Dear friend,
Greetings from ECI Care Home- a residential home for 29 children and youth with disabilities.
ECI Care Home is more than just a home, it is a place for education and joy, a place where weekly psychosocial sessions and physiotherapy sessions are core part of the children´s routines. A place, where nutritious meals are never missed.
In the past month, all our children had their dental checks and haircuts, as well as received donated summer clothing and clothing to celebrate Eid.
If you wish to peek inside, please watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM4D5GP1HcQ and share the joy with the world
Thank you for your support,
ECI Team

ECI Care Home
Greetings from ECI,
Winter in Kabul is not easy. Many of the children residing in our ECI Care Home are extremely vulnerable to the weather changes and we are taking extra care that they always have warm clothing and rooms. Despite our best efforts, winter flues are common and for children with disabilities and underlying health conditions, the recovery is always often challenging and delayed. We are grateful for all the support received through GlobalGiving donors and other donations, allowing the children to have new clothes, new beds (yes, very nice metal ones that are currently to be painted with happy colors), shoes, wood for the fireplaces and donations to cover medical expenses from doctor visits and medicines.
To learn more about our wonderful ECI Care Home, where caring for our 26 residential children with disabilities is a job without a break, please see the one-pager brochure attached.
We are warmly welcoming continued support and grateful for your kind donations.
All the best,
ECI Team
