Lifting up Children with Cancer "Little by Little"

By Albert Santoli | Project Leader

This years Global Giving "Little by Little" Campaign will match donations up to $50 at 50%. If you would like to start a new monthly contribution, Global Giving will match it 100% ! The Little by Little Campaign will match donations this week (April 9-13) until funds run out. If you are thinking of donating during this special event, follow this link:

"Little by Little"  Global Giving donors have been assisting Asia America Initiative and our One World Institute partners to lift up the healing spirit of more than 500 child cancer patients at the House of Hope locarted at the children's cancer Center in Davao, Philippines.   We are systematically providing toys, story books, occasional fun parties that generate hope and love on a year-round basis.
At House of Hope, a local volunteer staf member told us, "Thank you, AAI and all of your donor friends.  This week we have received the new shipment of stuffed animals and other toys and are preparing to distribute them to children of all cultures and faiths who are being medically treated at the Center.
"We were thrilled to hand the gifts to the teen patients, as we promised them. Most of them were lining up for their regular chemo treatment, so we handed them their gifts at the cancer center.  Unlike the small children, as typical teenagers they told us they preferred clothes rather than toys. But on receiving their gift clothing, they greeted us with the same shy smiles and hugs in conveying their thanks!  This is the beauty of building their confidence, no matter how poor their families, they are rich in spirit and can actually become well once again!"
We invite all of our donors to continue your support.  The Global Giving "Little by Little" Campaign, April 9 through 13, 2018, is a wonderful time to contribute to pour healing efforts for these beautiful children.  Thank you, once again.
