Introduction

Although Cambodia is one of the fastest growing economies the country remains one of the most least developed. A problem we can't tackle alone, partnered with University of New South Wales we are able to access their resources to help build up resilience from the bottom, using their support for research to build a better slum.

Report

Upon agreeing a plan we will use the funds that we raise to help the community transform their own community and rebuild a resilient and safe community that will be sustainable long term and ensure it provides safe water and sanitation to help fight the poverty gap. We still need to raise $3876 to properly support this initiative.

Introduction

Cambodia continues to have a serious infrastructure gap. Water, sanitation, roads and solid waste management are among the most critical services in need of improvement. And lack of access to year-round all-weather roads impacts food value-chains and access to health, education and other public services. This project has partnered with key academics from UNSW to help educated, empower and inspire the local community leaders to build resilience from the ground up.

Report

Working with the community we will conduct vital research to ensure we explore all opportunities and options with the community and with our guidance they will choose the best structure to tackle the current crisis they face. Upon agreeing a plan we will use the funds that we raise to help the community transform their own community and rebuild a resilient and safe community that will be sustainable long term and ensure it provides safe water and sanitation to help fight the poverty gap

Introduction

We fund scholarships for aspiring students to enhance education in local communities, we provide free of charge additional English Lessons to the students of the community.

Report

It is often very difficult to access free education, especially in English in Asia meaning many people that show potential but are from poor backgrounds are unable to break the cycle. Consequently, there are many members of the community that receive no education in English and sometimes no education at all. It costs the project $2000 to pay for a teacher for 6 months. We have managed to raise $1124 so far.

We have managed to raise $1124 of our target of $4350. A donation fo $50 will enable us to convert and renovate one small room into a classroom providing engaging learning space for children to learn.

Introduction

Students in Cambodia can either learn English at private schools, which are expensive or in their state school, which is very limited and often poor quality. Working with our community members and from generously donated gifts from our supporters, we aim to fund scholarships for aspiring students and to enhance the current state education we provide free of charge additional English Lessons to the students of our community.

Report

Working with passionate and highly driven community members we will provide the framework and support for them to provide open classes to all members of the community. Providing a sustainable long term project that will allow additional income to support free schooling within the community. By educating more community members in English we will break down the elite barriers and make English more available allowing for growth through tourism for people that previously would never access.
