Estimados amigos,
El año 2015 ha comenzado para nosotros cargado de actividades y proyectos. Está claro que nuestra misión es crear un mejor entorno para quienes tienen síndrome de Down y discapacidad cognitiva, rompiendo mitos e informando y así lo estamos haciendo!
A finales del mes de Febrero hemos lanzado un nuevo programa “No hay dos iguales “una iniciativa que promueve la inclusión y la valoración de la diversidad desde la escuela; hasta hoy hemos realizado directamente 48 talleres en colegios de los departamentos de Atlántico y Magdalena, con los cuales hemos llegado a 1400 niños de manera directa y a 1400 más a través del material de réplica entregado a los colegios participantes, es fabuloso el impacto y alcance que hemos conseguido en tan poco tiempo.
Con ocasión de la conmemoración del día Mundial del síndrome de Down, dimos inició en marzo a la campaña “Es un mito y no lo permito”; 3.000 librillos informativos distribuidos y 10 murales interactivos en universidades, museos, eventos públicos y centros comerciales, así como 20.000 individuales alusivos al tema ubicados en 30 restaurantes de la costa Caribe, han servido de apoyo para cumplir nuestro objetivo, también realizamos una gran jornada de orientación para las familias afiliadas a nuestra fundación y un taller creativo.
Sin duda muchas actividades realizadas desde nuestro último reporte, pero éste es sólo el comienzo de nuestras actividades, tenemos mucho más por hacer, y esperamos contar contigo en este camino.

Dear Friends,
2015 year has begun full of activities and projects for us. Our mission is to create a better environment for people with Down syndrome and cognitive disability breaking myths and informing and that's what we are doing!
At the end of february we launched a new program "No 2 are alike" an initiative that promotes the inclusion and appreciation of diversity from within school ;so far we have directly done 48 workshops in schools in the departments of Atlantico and Magdalena working with 1,400 children directly and 1400's through the material of reply given to the participating schools,It´s amazing the impact and scope we have achieved in such a short time.
On the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, on March we lauched the campaign "It´s a myth and does not allow"; 3.000 informational booklets distributed and 10 interactive murals in universities, museums, public events and malls as well as 20,000 placemats with the same message located at restaurants on the Caribbean coast, have supported us to meet our goal. We also carry a Conference for affiliated families and a creative workshop.
No doubt, many activities since our last report, but this is only the beginning, we have much more to do, and we hope we can count on you.
