Project Summary

The SI4DEV Street Business School (SBS) is a mobile business training initiative designed to empower women and youth in Nigeria. Through tailored training and support, SBS aims to foster entrepreneurial mindsets, enhance economic independence, and promote sustainable development.

Impact and Outcomes

The SBS program has proven to be highly effective in improving the financial well-being of its participants. Post-program evaluations revealed an impressive 99% increase in participants' income compared to pre-program levels. This outcome underscores the program's success in equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to establish and sustain profitable businesses.

Furthermore, follow-up visits conducted 11 months after the program's implementation showed that 99% of participants remained actively engaged in their businesses. Additionally, 29% of the participants had expanded their ventures by starting additional businesses or exploring alternative income sources, highlighting the program's long-term impact.

Update

The SBS program recently graduated and equipped 17 participants in the Soje community of Minna, Niger State, Nigeria, with startup kits. Despite the country's economic challenges, all participants are thriving and actively engaged in their businesses.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our donors for their unwavering support, which made this achievement possible. Your contributions have played a pivotal role in transforming lives and fostering economic resilience among vulnerable and marginalized women in Nigeria.
