Our project will install safe, reliable and durable water system for 2000 students in Pwani,Tanzania who currently have limited access to clean water. The project supports all school students and particularly girls, who are disproportionately affected by water shortages and poor sanitation due to added hygienic needs. By providing durable water systems within the school compound and promoting hygiene education, we will reduce waterborne illness, improve hygiene practices and promote attendance.
2000 students face serious challenges due to lack of clean and safe water. They rely on limited and unhygienic sources and can go a day or more without it. This has been increasing illness, affects attendance and performance. Girls are especially impacted due to added hygienic needs. This project will install reliable water systems to ensure safety , accessibility , improve health, and enhance supportive Learning environment.
Hope 4 Young Girls will train, promote hygiene education, and install a reliable and safe water system within the school to ensure all 2000 students have reliable access to safe water at all times in school. This project will focus on water systems connected to safe sources, with proper piping for sustainability and secure, child-friendly fixtures to allow easy usage. Through this the project we will eliminate water shortages, reduce illness and ensure healthy learning environment.
Reliable access to safe water will be the long-term impact of the project, improving health, hygiene, and overall well-being for all 2,000 students. It will reduce waterborne diseases, decrease absenteeism, and enhance academic performance. Girls will benefit through better menstrual hygiene management, promoting equality in education. The project will instill lifelong healthy habits, strengthen school water infrastructure, and create a safer learning environment for future generations.
