Rare Gem Talent School is committed to supporting neurodivergent children by providing an inclusive learning environment tailored to their needs. The school caters for 200 learners with dyslexia, autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse. The school is overcrowded, and resources are stretched to their limits. However, we are facing significant challenges in finishing the remaining 40% of the construction, particularly the classrooms that are essential to accommodate our growing number of students
Rare-Gem Talent School anticipates increased student enrollment in the new year, however, our current infrastructure cannot accommodate the demand. The school has six incomplete classrooms under construction that have stalled due to a lack of funding. Additionally, existing toilet and sanitation facilities are inadequate for our current student population, let alone the expected increase in enrollment.
Completing the remaining 40% of construction, including classrooms and amenities, will enable us to accommodate the growing student population, particularly those needing specialized education for dyslexia and other learning challenges. New classrooms will reduce overcrowding, improve the teacher-to-student ratio, and allow for more personalized instruction. Finishing the essential amenities like toilets and sanitation facilities will support the health and well-being of students and staff
By increasing the school's capacity and providing a tailored learning environment, we will ensure that more children with dyslexia and other learning differences have access to quality education. This will contribute to breaking the cycle of educational inequality for neurodivergent children in Kenya. The success of the school will also raise awareness about the importance of inclusive education for neurodivergent children in Kenya, encouraging other institutions to adopt similar approaches and
