During this reporting period 70 families from the Original Gift Group (OG) have earned Rs. 1053,000 from raising buffaloes. Among them the highest earner is Bali Kumari Khadka with an earning of Rs 90,000 and the lowest earner is Nirmala Khatri with Rs.48, 000, whereas the 70 families from POG have earned Rs.929, 800. Among them the highest earner is Goma Palpali with an earning of Rs.78, 250 and the lowest earner is Mira Kharel with an earning of Rs. 44,400.During this period the 140 families who received Buffaloes have been able to pass on the gift through the sale of dairy products such as milk, curd, butter etc. The consumption of such products has also been beneficial to provide balanced diet to the recipient families. After the two-day Nutrition training given by Laxmi Pariwar Bachat Samuha, there is increased level of awareness among the villagers regarding their diet as well as regular cleaning campaigns have been held in the village.The 270 families from OG and Pass on the Gift Group (POG) have maintained a nursery by planting soybeans and improved fodder/forage. This has helped to improve the environment, provide food to the animals as well as increase their income level. Vermicomposting and composting has been a common practice among the families, promoting organic farming and decreasing the use of chemical fertilizers. Due to boost of confidence and capability among the members, around 15% of the women have been providing their leadership to different consumer groups. On their own initiative and effort, the members of Gayeatri Pariwar Bachat Samuha have been able to build 2 km motor road by raising fund of Rs.100,000 from Kamal Mai VDC and District Development Office and. On addition the group has been able to collect Rs.90, 000 from local tourists. During this period, OG Laliguras Pariwar Bachat Samuha has been able to collect a fund of Rs.20, 000 from a Japanese tourist group.
